Why there is no contact form
DataScrub deliberately has no server that receives your input, and a contact form would mean building one. Keeping contact on email lets us honestly say that nothing you type into the tool is ever transmitted. It also means you can see exactly what you are sending, and to whom.
Reporting a bug
The more of this you can include, the faster we can fix it:
- What you expected to happen, and what actually happened.
- Which button you pressed — strip hidden characters, remove duplicates, build table, or download.
- Your browser and version (for example "Chrome 141 on Windows 11").
- A small, non-sensitive sample of input that reproduces the problem.
Please don't email us your real data
If a specific file misbehaves, reduce it to the few lines that show the problem and replace real names, emails and numbers with fake ones first. Email is not a secure channel, and we do not want custody of your data — that is rather the entire point of the tool.
Feature requests
Requests that fit the tool's scope are genuinely welcome — additional delimiters, character classes we are not catching, export formats, or a transformation you currently do by hand in Excel. Tell us the messy input you start with and the clean output you want, and that is usually enough.
Who runs this
DataScrub is operated by BPD Unboxed. Email is the fastest and only route to us; we do not publish a postal address. If you need one for a formal legal notice, ask by email and we will provide it.
